What is EMS, and why is everyone using it?
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) uses gentle micro-currents to contract facial muscles — the same principle physios use to re-educate muscles after injury, scaled down for your face.
What it can and can’t do
- Can: tone and firm facial muscles over weeks of consistent use, improve circulation, help products absorb
- Cannot: erase deep wrinkles, replace surgery, or work overnight
Getting it right
- Always use with a conductive gel or serum — never on bare dry skin
- Start on the lowest intensity and work up
- 10 minutes, 3–4 times a week is plenty — more is not better
- Avoid if you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, or have metal implants
